I work in a way that encourages each client to express themselves freely and grow personally so they can think and feel differently about the experiences and difficulties they find challenging in life. I think of our work together as collaborative with an equal amount of creative input and engagement.

Gia Badenhorst
Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor
Gia brings a mix of experience and excellent training in talking therapy to what she offers clients. She adapts her way of working to provide effective support to each person with the aim of enabling change. Gia works at a pace that feels comfortable to her clients, she focuses on finding ways to relieve symptoms that affect the day to day sense of wellbeing, whether the overarching difficulty is low mood, worry, wanting to improve relationships or eating issues.
As well as helping clients cope and feel better, Gia supports clients to recognise the triggers for old patterns of negative thoughts and behaviour which can undermine lasting change when not addressed. Gia’s nursing background gives her particular insight into to how pain or illness can affect mental wellbeing and vice versa.
